The Darling Eye Center was founded in 2000 by Dr. Catherine Darling with the vision of creating an optometric practice that treats every patient with dignity and first-rate care. The office staff at the Darling Eye Center are highly-trained and exceptionally friendly. We understand that for many, visiting a doctor can be a stressful experience. Catherine A. Darling, O.D. Dr. Catherine Darling earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Eastern Illinois University in 1996. She successfully completed her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2000, graduating with clinical Honors (top 5% of class). Dr. Darling has completed multiple marathons and enjoys her free time with her husband, Mark, and her family. |

Douglas K. Black, O.D. Dr. Douglas Black earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Science with a minor in Microbiology from Pennsylvania State University in 1991. He successfully completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1995. Dr. Black has practiced internationally and specializes in specialty contact lenses and difficult to fit contact lens patients. In his spare time, Dr. Black enjoys golfing and kayaking as well as spending time with his wife, Helena, and their families. |
